Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for measuring, analyzing, and communicating financial metrics, with a focus on identifying trends, success/improvement areas, and consulting management members on the financial effects of business strategies. The ability to present financial data in a concise, clear, actionable manner is essential for this position. The Financial Analyst will play a significant role in managing the company’s budgeting and forecasting processes and will provide support during mergers and acquisitions. Depending on company needs, this position may involve management responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc presentations and visuals to convey the company’s financial performance (trends, KPIs, etc) in an accessible, actionable manner
  • Consult on investment decisions by analyzing financial information to forecast business, industry or economic conditions
  • Interpret data on price, yield, stability, future investment-risk trends, economic influences and other factors affecting investment programs
  • Monitor economic and financial developments and trends; stay on top of research and developments in relevant economic/financial theory through reviewing industry publications, government agencies, company sources, etc.
  • Assist in annual budget process and other Finance/Accounting activities as needed


Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent grasp of economic and financial theory and modeling; strong knowledge of accounting is preferred
  • Extensive experience with financial reporting applications (Oracle, Zoho Books, Quickbooks, Sage, etc)
  • Ability to create compelling and useful visuals and explanations using presentation software (PowerPoint, Slidebean, Apple Keynote, etc)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, particularly the ability to present financial information to non-financially expert audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organization habits
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-starting workstyle



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience
  • MBA or MA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred but not required
