Summary

 

The Human Resource Coordinator supports all Human Resources functions, focusing on administrative duties including new hire onboarding and offboarding, managing employee benefits programs, maintaining employee files/information, entering and organizing data into HRIS tools. Other duties may involve assisting with recruiting and implementing learning and development and employee engagement programs. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring employees have a positive employment experience and feel supported and empowered to thrive, as well promoting compliance with all relevant law. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Submit online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks
  • Respond to employment verification requests
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to implement recruiting efforts and manage entire onboarding process, including scheduling interviews, following up with candidates, and ensuring onboarding documents are completed on time (includes managing the I-9/E-Verify process)
  • Coordinate with managers on the design and implementation of the performance review process
  • Assists with processing of terminations
  • Maintain employee records ensuring accurate and easily accessible information, using both HRIS tools and paper filing systems
  • Administers health insurance plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations
  • Coordinates with payroll team and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions
  • Assists with the development and implementation of learning and development programs
  • Assists with the
  • Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action
  • Research and make recommendations for HR technology
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends and best practices in HR field, including relevant law
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

  • 1+ year in HR role, or role with HR-related responsibilities preferred
  • Beginner to Intermediate-level familiarity with major human resources functions, principles, and practices
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to keep sensitive/private information confidential
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to deliver high quality results under pressure
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Desire to develop your HR-related skills, abilities, and knowledge and grow within an HR role

Education and Certifications

  • BA or BS degree, preferably in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field OR 4+ years of relevant experience
  • aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP strongly preferred
